Here are some additional updates from the follow-up to the AGM(Annual General Meeting) that happened earlier this month at Neeraj's place. Following are some key updates:
Leagues:
Saturday: World Series League (most of the games at VCP).
Sunday: New York Cricket League (all games at VCP).
We will NOT be participating in the mid week LMS league.

Nets:
Starting April till June nets practice will move to Thursday 8-10pm.
We are working on getting nets to 7-9pm after June.
Team balance (Competitive vs Social):
Captains will work on building a core of 7-8 members for each league. Remaining positions will be rotated. The core members will not be fixed before the start of the season. It will be formed as the season progresses. Core members will not be considered for friendly games unless we are short. Along with this a strong effort will be made to maintain the social aspect of the club and get all members as many games as possible.
What does it means to be a team member?:
A lot of effort goes into organizing a single game. Communications, team selection, acquiring grounds, transporting equipment, field (mat, stumps and cones) setup, organizing food & drinks and organizing rides to say a few. It has been observed that only a select few are doing the work especially when it comes to field setup and organizing food & drinks. Some of the members just come to play and leave right after the game without helping. This kind of behavior will not be tolerated and captains have been instructed to rectify it. Along with this we have had complaints about members not sharing the cost of rides. Please voluntarily share the cost of a ride when given. Finally, there is only one captain on the field. If you are not the captain then don't try to act like one. It is not only obnoxious it is against the spirit of the game. If you have any suggestion reach out to the captain. It will be up to the captain whether to implement it or not. Please remember that Cricket is a team sport and everyone has a responsibility to be a team member. We will also be releasing HCC values and guidelines in the coming days.
Touring schedule:
HCC is traveling to Budapest this summer (P.S: Touring team for Budapest has been finalized).
We will have a test match in Rhode Island. Date TBD.
Sarasota tour: October/November.
2020: Either Trinidad or Barbados.

We are planning the following additional initiative. If you help please reach out.
- Developing relationships with sports goods and services providers.
- HCC picnic at Bear mountain.
- Finding a home ground in NJ.
